**TAIWAN OUT**Taiwanese and foreign tourists release lanterns into the sky in hopes of good fortune and prosperity during the annual Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival in Pingxi district, New Taipei, Taiwan, 2 March 2018. Hundreds of people gathered in New Taipei City on Friday (2 March 2018) and released paper lanterns into the sky in the hope of an auspicious year. Visitors from Taiwan and around the world attended the Lantern Festival, in Pingxi township. The festival ends the 15-day celebration of Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, and is celebrated on the night of the first full moon of the lunar New Year.
