    Common Name: Paurotis Palm, Everglades Palm, Saw Cabbage Palm.
    Native to: Southern Florida, Caribbean, SE Mexico, Columbia.
    Hardiness: Down to around -6
    Growth: Clustering palm with slender trunks covered in brown fibre. Slow growing with deeply divided fan shaped leaves, light green on upper surface, silvery beneath. Armed with fine thorns on the petioles. Tolerant of wet soil and moderately tolerant of salt.
    Sunlight: Full / partial shade.
    Exposure: Sheltered.
    Soil: Acid soils.

    Moisture: Keep moist. Do not allow to dry between waterings
    Feeding: Feed during the growing season.

    Acoelorrhaphe Wrightii. Paurotis Palm
    The Acoelorrhaphe Wrightii is a very attractive clustering palm. Several upright slender trunks covered in loose brown fibre are topped with crowns of deeply divided fan shaped leaves, light green on the upper surface and silvery underneath. The petioles are armed with fine orange thorns.

    Slow growing, it copes well with wet soils and is moderately salt tolerant, the Paurotis Palm can be found thriving in swamps in the wild. Hardy down to a few degrees this tropical looking palm is great for growing in planters and perfect for greenhouses and bright conservatories.
