About us

The Red Dot Design Award, one of the largest design competitions worldwide, breaks down into three disciplines - the Red Dot Award: Product Design, the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design and the Red Dot Award: Design Concept. Established designers as well as young talents from more than 70 countries yearly submit their works. The international Red Dot Jury, consisting of unbiased and renowned design experts, afterwards carefully tries out, discusses and finally evaluates the entries. Winning a Red Dot is a very special honour for the laureates as the award is only given to works with a high design quality. The laureates profit from various measures, all of which communicate their success in an internationally visible way: They can use the well-known Red Dot label which generates a great deal of attention for any product, communication work or prototype thanks to its striking appearance. Furthermore, the winning works are exhibited in exhibitions all around the world.

“All of our projects define the ordinary in an extraordinary way.” - The Techno Creatives Tradition and innovative spirit meet in the Swedish port city of Gothenburg, making it the perfect base for The Techno Creatives. The design agency sees itself as a driver of the digital revolution and specialises in the development of disruptive tech products that challenge the intellect. The agency was founded in 2006 and has been awarded with 18 distinctions since. Some of those winning projects are: 🚤 The RAND Boats Owner’s App provides helpful information like battery status, fuel levels, GPS location, maps and sailing routes. It allows boat owners to access all relevant data about their boat in real time and as easily as possible. 🎼 Elektron Overbridge seamlessly integrates analogue synthesizers and drum machines with computers, treating hardware instruments as software for enhanced control and flexibility. By leveraging digital expertise, designers crafted a visually immersive experience, departing from conventional interfaces. Intuitive interaction patterns cater to musicians, with real-time frequency graphs and user-friendly editing features. The interface, with day and night modes and carefully curated colour schemes, ensures a productive and visually appealing workflow for musicians. 👕 The AEG Interactive Shirt Installation illustrates the advantages of the company’s environmentally- and garment-friendly ÖKOPower washing detergent. The installation consists of a mirror-like display showing a shirt, upon which the washing procedure and the resulting difference in wear and tear depending on the detergent are simulated using projection mapping. The second component is a digital tablet that allows the trade fair visitors to intuitively control the installation and obtain additional information on the functionality of the detergent. Congrats to the Techno Creatives project team members: Julia Wallén, Christoffer Ekdahl, Jessica Ekdahl, Dylan Hand, Sergei Solodovnikov, Bjørn Lau Jørgensen, Rostislav Raykov and Josef Elrefai. “Our creative philosophy is that of ÜberCreativity (hypercreativity) – we bring together different mindsets, cultures, talents, technologies and disciplines in an integrated way to create innovation.” – Till Diestel The Serviceplan Group was founded in 1970 as a classic advertising agency. The concept of the “House of Communication” quickly developed – an integrated agency model that unites under one roof all modern communication disciplines: creative and content, media and data, experience and commerce. This includes brand strategists, creatives, experience designers, experts in media, marketing technology and CRM, data scientists, market researchers, and PR consultants and professionals. With 23 company-owned office locations and additional partnerships, the Serviceplan Group is represented in a total of 34 countries worldwide and in all important economic sectors. The precise interaction of more than 40 specialist agencies from the three agency brands Serviceplan, Mediaplus Group and Plan.Net Group makes the Serviceplan Group one of the leading agency groups for innovative communication. The self-defined four “I”s serve as the basis: Integrated, International, Independent, Innovative. Here are some projects out of a total of 116 awarded in the Red Dot Award: 👨🦯 Dot Pad. The first smart tactile graphics display for the visually impaired. It can display any visual content from any source because the Dot Image Processing technology uses Al to analyse, understand visual input and present it most accurately on Dot Pad’s tactile display of 2,400 dots. 🏠 The new House of Communication of Serviceplan Group gives employees from a wide range of cultures, nations and communication disciplines common home and is an open meeting place for conferences events and parties. It was designed in cooperation with Büro Uebele Visuelle Kommunikation and Saint Elmo's Germany. 🧴 The intuitively designed marketing tool makes the concept of AIZOME accessible through the senses of touch and sight. The special process uses ultrasound to dye fabrics in an environmentally friendly manner. Colour gradients, as well as dot-shaped perforations in the folder that provide structure, support the product information in an eye-catching way. Designed together with Workbyworks Studio.
