You know those iPod nano wallpapers you certainly forgot about or didn’t even know existed? Well they’re back as new wallpapers for your iPhone, iPad, & Mac.
The 7th generation iPod nano was unveiled on September 12, 2012. Featuring a 240×432 pixel 2.5" multitouch display, this was the last iPod nano Apple ever released. The seventh-generation nano was a culmination of features from previous generations, featuring the multitouch display and gesture interactivity of the 6th generation but with a larger display for easier navigation and the return of video playback. This was also the first nano to come with Apple's new Lightning connector and Bluetooth radio for wireless audio.
All versions of the seventh-generation iPod nano came in a single 16GB flash configuration and came in various vibrant finishes. The nano released in 2012 was available in seven different colours: Slate (updated to Space Gray a year later), Silver, Pink, Yellow, Green, PRODUCT(RED) and Purple. Then, in 2015, Apple refreshed the colours and offered Silver, Space Gray, & PRODUCT(RED) and added Gold, Pink, and Blue to the lineup. This final version of the nano was discontinued two years later, on July 27, 2017.
The seventh-generation nano also came bundled with a small collection of wallpapers colour-matched to each particular device. My favourite of these was the wallpaper of lines radiating from the bottom of the display. And it was after releasing my collection of wallpapers for the grand opening of Apple Tower Theatre that Parker Ortolani reached out and remarked how much wallpaper reminded him of the ones that came bundled with the iPod nano. And with that, I got to work, creating this collection of wallpapers for all your iDevices which pays homage to the last iPod nano.
