【金櫻子 性狀】 本品為花托發育而成的假果。呈倒卵形，表面紅黃色或紅棕色，有突起的棕色小點，系毛刺脫落後的殘基。頂端有盤狀花萼殘基，中央有黃色柱基，下部漸尖。質硬。切開後，花托壁內有多數堅硬的小瘦果，內壁及瘦果均有淡黃色絨毛。氣微，味甘，微澀。
【金櫻子 品質】 以個大、色紅黃、有光澤、去淨毛刺者為佳。
【金櫻子 性味】 酸、甘、澀，平。
【金櫻子 功效】 固精縮尿，固崩止帶，澀腸止瀉。用於遺精滑精，遺尿尿頻，崩漏帶下，久瀉久痢。
