The OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) project is a massive technological undertaking that wants to put...well, one laptop in the hands of every child. They project has recently released XO, the first OLPC laptop. It's distinctive, a sort of Kermit-and-cream color arrangement with ears, as you can see. The reviews are coming in from all points, but the most interesting I've seen thus far comes from part of the project's target market -- "SG," a 12-year-old acquaintance of Ed Felten.

I hope when my own geeklet is 12 she writes this well. As for SG's conclusions, you'll have to read the nicely-done review yourself.
