2. Amélie (2001)

In 2001, Audrey Tautou’s youthful looks took the world by storm in this Jean-Pierre Jeunet film. The plot follows a Parisienne like any other, Amélie cast a spell on audiences with shots that showed Paris’ best side – and Audrey Tautou’s too, this was the start of an illustrious career for the young actress.

4. L'Auberge Espagnole (2002)

6. Chinese Puzzle (2013)

The third and final instalment of Cédric Klapisch’s movies, Chinese Puzzle follows Martine, Xavier and their friends as they turn 40. With the focus changing from young love to children, family and stability, we have truly moved on from the free Spanish feel that dominated the first instalments. A bittersweet goodbye to characters who will stay with us forever.
