Self-professed "former flat-iron hair model" Joe Jonas hosted an AMA on Reddit this afternoon in honor of his band DNCE's new music video for their song "Body Moves." And in true former-Jonas Brothers-on-Reddit fashion, the answers were entirely candid and surprising. Oh, and Camp Rock fans? You're going to be more than a little shocked at the memories Joe has about his Disney Channel Original Movie.
The film, which was released a whopping eight years ago, isn't necessarily high on Joe's list of favorite past accomplishments. "My dance moves in Camp Rock were so terrible," he said when a Redditor asked him about the movie. "I thought I was killing the game, too. Actually, Tyler The Creator posted it one day and I was like, 'Oh, cool! Tyler thinks my dance moves are sick!' and I realized he was just totally calling me out."
Joe added that his "flat iron hair and my squeaky voice are a little embarrassing," but admits that he still watches it from time to time. He says that the repeat viewings "just reminds me of how much older I am now."
It's not the worst thing that could happen, though. When asked to rate the embarrassment factor of the film, he said that on a "1-10 rating of how embarrassing Camp Rock is to me now, 10 being the most and 1 being the least, I'm going to give it a solid 8," which means he can definitely think of things that are more cringe-worthy than being in an iconic DCOM.
This statement, however, we question: "When I see old merchandise from Camp Rock days or somebody is like, 'Oh my god, CampRock is my jam,' I really have a hard time believing them."
Believe us, Joe. Camp Rock is an actual jam. And those are facts, no printer.
