Biography

  • Brandon Heath (born July 21, 1978) is an American contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter and musician, hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.

Brandon Heath’s excursion into the musical world arrived when he received a guitar as a Christmas present at the age of 13. It was around this time Heath began writing songs and contributing to his school’s choir, The SopistiCats. The budding musician subsequently became the leader for a Christian Young Life camp and earned a English degree at Middle Tennessee State University. In an attempt to pay for a new guitar, after Heath’s was stolen in 2000, the singer-songwriter compiled a demo CD, which was later independently released as the 2004 album “Early Stuff”.

In 2006 Heath made his major label debut on Reunion Records with the full-length “Don’t Get Comfortable”. The album spawned the singles “Our God Reigns”, “I’m Not Who I Was”, and “Don’t Get Comfortable”, the former of which was nominated for the Worship Song of the Year at the 2007 Dove Awards. After supporting Aaron Shust on his 30-city “Whispered and Shouted” tour, Heath released his sophomore album “What If We” in August 2008. Led by the Christian Hit Radio No. 1 single “Give me Your Eyes”, the album debuted at No. 73 on the Billboard 200, aided by the subsequent singles “Wait and See” and “Love Never Fails”. In 2009, Heath supported the album with a tour alongside MercyMe, and contributed to the Christian band Leeland’s album “Love Is on the Move”.

“Leaving Eden”, Brandon Heath’s third full-length album was produced by Dan Cuckala, and topped the U.S. Billboard Christian Album chart. On top of producing the No. 1 Christian Songs Chart single “Your Love”, the album earned three Grammy nominations for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album, Best Gospel/Contemporary Music Performance (“Your Love”), Best Contemporary Christian Music Song (“Your Love”). The album “Blue Mountain” was released in 2012 earning more than favourable reviews from critics and success with the lead single “Jesus in Disguise”. Heath’s sixth studio album “No Turning Back” appeared in February 2015 and marked the singer’s most overtly spiritual album, like many of its predecessors the album received strong reviews and charted within the Top 10 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart.

Live reviews

  • Brandon Heath

The stage is empty except for a pianist, a guitarist, and Brandon Heath, who stands by the microphone with his guitar over his shoulder. Heath opens the night by making an inspirational speech about the generosity and compassion of Jesus Christ. Then he launches into his song “Jesus In Disguise”, pairing simple but high quality guitar with an excellent singing voice that leaves his fans in wild applause.

Heath, a Tennessee native, is a contemporary Christian musician. He started his music career as a teenager writing songs and playing guitar. His first album, the independently released Early Stuff, was, as the name suggests, a mix of songs he wrote as a teen. He has since released four studio albums. The first, Don't Get Comfortable, was released in 2006 and the first single on that album, “Our God Reigns”, was nominated for, and won, a Dove Award in 2007. “I'm Not Who I Was” was also nominated for a Dove award, and was a No 1 hit single listed at the top of Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart. His music has won many other awards over the years, and at the rate he is going will continue to do so. Brandon Heath is a true musician. He is dedicated to both his music and his fans, and his songs are moving and inspirational. He is a musician to see live.

  • Brandon was great but where was Nicole Nordeman? She was also supposed to be there and she wasn't. I was actually more excited to see her. And they never mentioned anything about it during the entire concert.

I was not happy! If they would have even explained why she wasn't there it would have helped.

Also, Nick Hall spent wayyyy to much talking. This was not advertised. I am all for sharing the gospel but it could have been done in a different way and not quite so long. Won't attend this event again.
