Biography:Brahms is renowned as a composer and pianist, premiering many of his own works. Much of his oeuvre has since become a staple in the many areas in which he worked—symphony orchestra, chamber ensembles, piano, organ, etc.
Stylistically, Brahms' compositions were classically rooted and yet innovative and carefully constructed. He has had a lasting influence on a broad spectrum of composers, from traditionalists to modernists alike.
