Actor Michael Vartan’s wife has filed for divorce after three years of marriage.
Vartan's wife Lauren Skaar, a real estate agent, filed for divorce on July 11 citing "irreconcilable differences," People reports. The couple, who have no children together, separated April 5, according to the filing. Skaar has asked for spousal support.
The former “Alias” star met his wife while shopping at a Whole Foods in Los Angeles and approached her after some “calculated stalking.”
"We didn't date right away," Skaar told People shortly before their marriage. "I wouldn't give him my number but did take his e-mail address, and we didn't see each other until a few months after our first meeting. That was almost two years ago."
Vartan popped the question in March 2010 and the couple married in Newport Beach, California a year later.
Vartan, who dated Jenifer Garner during the production of “Alias” before she left him for Ben Affleck, currently has a recurring role on the TV drama “Bates Motel.”
