Webcam function & technology

From Wikipedia, webcam is a video camera that feeds or streams an image or video in real-time to or through a computer network, such as the Internet. Webcams are typically small cameras that sit on a desk, attach to a user's monitor, or are built into the hardware. Webcams can be used during a video chat session involving two or more people, with conversations that include live audio and video.

Webcams typically include a lens, an image sensor, support electronics, and may also include one or even two microphones for sound.

Now the market video resolution mostly are 720p(1280×720), 1080p(1920x1080), 2K (2560×1440), 4K (3840×2160), at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. Compared with traditional 320×240, the high-resolution image can be better presented.
