Jeanne Tripplehorn and Callum Keith Rennie have joined the cast of Little Pink House.
The film follows the true story of Susette Kelo, a nurse from a small Connecticut town, who stands up to politicians that want to bulldoze her home and sell off the cleared land to a billion-dollar pharmaceutical company.
Tripplehorn will play Susette’s neighbor that is leading the charge to bulldoze, while Rennie will play the heroine’s love interest. Oscar nominee Catherine Keener has already been cast to play Susette.
The film comes from writer-director Courtney Moorehead Balaker, and will be produced by Ted Balaker and Joel Soisson. Shawn Williamson will executive produce the venture under his Brightlight Pictures banner.
Production on the Korchula Productions’ film is about to begin in Vancouver.
Tripplehorn was nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actress for her role in HBOs Grey Gardens, and is currently filming the feature We Only Know So Much.
Rennie has appeared in films including Memento and Fifty Shades of Grey, and had a reoccurring role on the TV show Californication. He will be seen in the much anticipated upcoming Warcraft movie.
Tripplehorn is repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment. Rennie is repped by APA, Elizabeth Hodgson and Kleinberg, Lange, Cuddy and Carlo LLP.
