Naomie Harris and makeup artist Alex Babsky were photographed by Eric Ray Davidson on Oct. 31 in Los Angeles.
Says Harris: “The best beauty trick Alex has ever taught me is using powder — it is very important for black skin, apparently.”
Elle Fanning (left) and makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe were photographed by Mike Rosenthal on Oct. 18 at The London Hotel in West Hollywood.
“Elle has an adventurous spirit, so we have a great time coming up with unexpected looks,” says Monroe. Adds Fanning: “We get each other. There are moments where we feel like two teenage girls together.”
Emma Stone, makeup artist Rachel Goodwin and hairstylist Mara Roszak were photographed by David Needleman on Oct. 26 at Milk Studios in Los Angeles.
Says Stone of her glam squad: “One of the best parts about working with these ladies is that it is such a collaboration. It sort of feels like each look is a character.”
Priyanka Chopra and hairstylist Castillo were photographed by Blossom Berkofsky on Nov. 15 at Brooklyn Grain in New York.
There’s something about the red carpet that brings my fun, playful side to the fore,” says Chopra. “My glam team always makes sure I look the way I feel.”
Tracee Ellis Ross and hairstylist Larry Sims were photographed by Jean-Francois Campos on Oct. 13 at Beachwood Studio in Los Angeles.
“We have mutual friends, and that takes away the ‘quiet hairstylist’ relationship and takes it to a more personal level,” says Sims. Adds Ellis Ross: “If it takes an hour to do my hair, it’s really 15 minutes hair and the other 45 is storytelling, catching up, laughing and singing.” Sims says the actress, who blogs about hair on her website, is “very hands-on and knows exactly what she wants.”
