NEW ORLEANS, La. --- Jan Lukas Becker, a junior from Saarbruecken, Germany, has been crowned the USTFCCCA NCAA DII South Region Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Year. This prestigious accolade follows his recent achievement as the first NCAA Division II National Champion since Larry Myricks in 1979. Becker's exceptional performance at the national level, combined with his triumph in two individual events at the motor GSC (Gulf South Conference) championships, has solidified his position as a dominant force in college track and field. As a member of the Mississippi College Choctaws, Becker's career is already adorned with an impressive total of five GSC titles.
