Speaking in an exclusive interview with Dr Phil - due to air this week in the States - Avery and his then-fiancée Lynn Hartman talked about their dreams of a film.

Hartman, 53, and Avery, 54, started their relationship 8 months ago by speaking over the phone but met in person just two weeks ago. They have broken their engagement off this week after reports that she is a "gold digger".

Previously speaking about her, Avery said: "I haven't been in love my whole life"

same as the others. Everything is all different with

her."

This is the third engagement for Avery. He was previously engaged to Sandra Greenman, 73, who said they broke it off because he wouldn't convert to her Christian faith but she believes he's still innocent. Before that, he was engaged to Jodi Stachowski, who defended him in the Netflix documentary. She has since branded him an abusive "monster" and says he believes he is guilty of the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach.

Avery is currently serving a life sentence for this.
