Fans noticed a statement made by V during his solo fan meeting on October 14, which sparked speculation about his enlistment date. The event featured close-up photos, live performances, and fan interactions, and V even invited his close friend Jimin to join him on stage. Amidst friendly conversations with the host and fans, V expressed his intention to appear on the popular variety show Running Man together with Jimin.
During their conversation about appearing on Running Man, V mentioned their intention to do it "before they have to go this year." This statement has led ARMY to speculate that it could be a subtle indication of their upcoming military enlistment, as there is still no confirmation regarding the military service of the remaining BTS members, such as V, Jimin, RM, and Jungkook.
During the (V)ICNIC fan gathering, V and Jimin reportedly entertained their fans with a live rendition of the song Friends and had pleasant conversations.
At present, BTS' music label, BIGHIT MUSIC has not made any official confirmation regarding this matter. Currently, three members of BTS are serving in the military: Jin (since December 13, 2022), J-hope (since April 18, 2023), and SUGA (since September 22, 2023).
