During the lunch break, you can admire the wonderful landscapes of this region and taste typical dishes from the South of the France.
Next, you will get to discover an architectural masterpiece, “the Millau Viaduct”, classified “Grand Site Midi Pyrénées”. The part which is downstairs houses a small exhibition that shows you the history of this exceptional site. You will learn everything about its construction and the building techniques used in the heart of Larzac. Le “Viaduc de Millau” has created a name for itself whilst also managing to preserve its natural environment for which it has been awarded international prizes that make this a remarkable site.
And to end with, on this excursion organised by our French language school, you will venture a bit further away to visit one of the best preserved medieval villages in France: The famous medieval village of “La Couvertoirade”. With its atypical and unique charm and surrounded by ramparts, La “Couvertoirade” is classed as being one of the most beautiful villages in France. With the help of a commentated visit, you will get to learn about the history of the village over the centuries, from the era of the order of the knights templar right through the famous religious wars. You will be able to see different architectural monuments in all its little alleyways.
