Randy Bryant, dean of the School of Computer Science, will deliver a State of the School Address during the first annual SCS Founders' Day, at 4 p.m. Thursday, in the Hillman Center's Rashid Auditorium. The event also will provide an opportunity to recognize significant achievements by faculty and staff.

The school's Allen Newell Award for Research Excellence and the Herbert A. Simon Award for Teaching Excellence in Computer Science both will be announced during the program, as will staff recognition awards. Recently awarded faculty chairs and external awards to faculty members will be recognized. A reception will follow the program.
