Visiting Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Ever since I moved to Pennsylvania, Longwood Gardens has been one of my favorite places to visit. Pierre S. du Pont founded the place, and it is over 1000 acres, consisting of gardens, fountains, meadows, woodlands, and architectural grandeur. This was my second time visiting the park, and I was still not able to walk through the whole place.

I first headed to the Conservatory during the visit to browse all my favorite tropical plants, cactus, and orchids. Afterward, I stopped by their cafe for a latte and a pleasant afternoon dessert. Next, I checked out the Pierce-duPont House, admiring the beautiful architecture and the vintage interior. Leaving the house, I walked through the flower garden, enjoying the afternoon breeze and the view of the meadows. To end the gorgeous day, I went to the Main Fountain Garden, and there, I was wowed by the fountain performances.

I love the extensive gardens, and I could spend a whole day there when the weather is good. I can't wait to plan my next visit to see their light show in the evening. Longwood Garden is a great stop to fill your day with wonders and fresh air if you are ever in the area!
