After 23 years of ownership, Leonardo DiCaprio has sold the Malibu home that he purchased when he was fresh off the success of ‘97’s Titanic. The actor fetched $10.3 million for the property, a full $300,000 above the price he listed it for in September, Mansion Global reports.

The three bedroom, two bathroom home is located right on Carbon Beach, with stairs leading directly to the sand. Upper and lower decks ensure that there’s ample space to enjoy the outdoors even from the home itself, with numerous seating areas and a hot tub on the lower deck and access to the upper deck available directly from the bedrooms. Every room at the rear of the 1,765 square foot property features wood-trimmed sliding glass doors, which allow loads of sunlight to come inside. The open concept layout downstairs ensures that this light is spread throughout the kitchen, dining, and living areas as well. Though the dwelling was built in 1951, it's been completely updated and appears plenty contemporary, though exposed beams and metal caged ceiling fans give the space a bit of a vintage twist. At the front of the house, there’s an enclosed area preceding the front door, and a private area for a small garden.

Fans may recall earlier that this year, DiCaprio’s former interior designer, Flipping Out star Megan Weaver, spilled about how the home was decorated when he first moved in. “Everything was Titanic,” Weaver said during an interview with the “Behind the Velvet Rope”podcast. “Titanic towels, Titanic poster, Titanic everywhere.” Weaver went on to say that she suspects that DiCaprio’s mother was the one who loaded up the home with memorabilia.

Even without the $300,000 hike from the asking price, DiCaprio made a killing off of the sale—he paid just $1.6 million for the property in 1998. Just because the Wolf of Wall Street star is getting rid of this place doesn’t mean he’s giving up on Malibu entirely. He purchased another place there for $13.8 million back in September of this year.
