商品描述
From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes an outrageous sequel to 2014's South Park: The Stick of Truth. In the quiet mountain town of South Park, darkness has spread across the land. An entire squad of superheroes will rise to combat this evil, led by a nocturnal scavenger sworn to clean the trash can of South Park society. Create your superhero and use your superpowers to save South Park so Coon and Friends can take their rightful place as the greatest team of superheroes ever assembled, and get the movie deal they so richly deserve.

PS: The digital copy for the stick of truth unfortunately expired in 2018, so if that’s a deal breaker it’s better for you to know now before you buy it. However the season pass code is good until 2099, so no issues there.
Having "Platinum-ed" South Park: The Fractured But Whole last night, I felt it was high time I update my review, so here goes...
The follow up to The Stick of Truth (which is kindly included with purchase), this game a direct continuation of the adventures of The New Kid, picking up mere moments after the end of SoT, when the South Park regulars decide playing superheroes is the new thing to do in an attempt to win a franchise at Netflix and make their fortune, all kicking off over a bunch of missing cats because...why not? To say more about the story would be a disservice to those who haven't played the game, because the top notch story telling and voice acting/being IN a South Park episode is the main draw here.
Combat has the feeling of having been greatly expanded, with the addition of many classes, heroes and powers that you can mix and match on the fly (although you're not granted access to EVERYTHING until the final third of the game), but after a few hours of playtime it does become apparent that you can progress by pretty much do the same thing over and over again (barring the occasional boss fight that occasionally has a specific objective). That said, this doesn't necessarily hamper the game because you will always find yourself doing these things under new and outrageous circumstances. Again, the main draw for this game is the writing. It's just a bit disappointing that the combat, which at first feels greatly expanded, ends up being a bit superficial.
Everything else about the game has been greatly expanded, from the number of costumes, characters to play as/with to collectibles, and on the plus side it is now impossible to "miss" anything you might need to get the trophy/achievement you're looking for. It is even possible to change your gender/race on the fly (eventually) in comedic fashion should you be looking to activate a certain hidden boss fight, which I won't spoil here, so don't panic/feel free to play the game how you want to play it.
The only complaints I have about the game are it's overall lack of difficulty (I recommend playing on the hardest difficulty setting from the outset) and the fact that even with numerous fast travel locations, you'll be doing a LOT of walking around town, which while appreciate at the outset (there's a lot to see) can be tedious once you've completed the game and are looking to find any missed items for trophy cleanup. Also, for as easy as the puzzles are in the game (I never found myself wondering what to do), some of the "toilet" challenges are absolutely ridiculous, although I do have cerebral palsy and can't say definitively that it had nothing to do with it. Finally, the ending felt a little abrupt. I was expecting some large, epic boss battle to finish off the game and it was actually considerably easier than many of the battles which proceeded it.
I'd like to end my review with one word of warning: There appears to be an occasional glitch with the auto save feature (at least on the PS4) that can cause an inability to save progress and can cost loss of progress. If you see the auto save logo in the bottom right of the screen for more than a few seconds, you've been hit with it. At that point it is also impossible to manually save your game, so any progress you've made prior to that happening is lost (it does not affect your previous save). For that reason I suggest regular manual saves, especially if you've just completed something significant that you'd rather not have to replay. It only occurred once during my play through, but I did lose about an hour and twenty minutes worth of progress.
