Mbói Tu’ĩ

Appearing as a snake to wixes but a parrot to muggles the first officially recorded sighing of a Mbói Tu’ĩ was by a squib, who claimed the two images were overlaid, giving the creature the head of a parrot, beak and all, and the body of a snake. The creature is known to give loud screeching cries in defence of its territory, which can be quite extensive, and have even been recorded in clashes with Brazilian Featherwings which have encroached on their territory. Such clashes are often evenly matched, as Mbói Tu’ĩ are mildly venomous, fast, loud and powerful constrictors, while Brazilian Featherwings are medium sized dragons which rely a lot on diving strikes when camouflaged.

Mbói Tu’ĩ are very protective of their territories, and of all the creatures within, even if they are not considered prey by the creatures. While a Mbói Tu’ĩ would be willing to let another Mbói Tu’ĩ pass through their territory, that would only be with the qualifier of the interloper not taking food from within the Mbói Tu’ĩ ‘s territory. On such occasions vengeance by the territories Mbói Tu’ĩ has been known to be swift and painful for the interloper, and the territories of many Mbói Tu’ĩ are clearly marked for the sake of wixes, that they do not make similar mistakes.
