On a Saturday, friends and I decided to go down and have a fun filled day at the Santa Monica Beach. Santa Monica Beach is a popular beach in sunny southern California located in the city of Santa Monica. The beach is known for its pier situated on the beach as well Muscle Beach. This beach is very business-oriented and supported by many locals, as well as the many tourist that visit throughout the year. The beach has many recreational activates you can do that provides hours of enjoyment as well as helping to support the local economy of the business and restaurants.
The Santa Monica Beach is home to the iconic Ferrris wheel and roller coaster as well as, amusement park rides and many little shops. It is a place where you can hangout for the day and enjoy the beautiful beach while eating and shopping.
We walked right off the beach right into Bubba Gump’s restaurant which has great sea food and a great beach vibe. The ice-cream and sweet shops also attract many visitors. Muscle beach is an area on the Santa Monica Beach where you can work out and show off your skills. You are likely to see very muscular athletes roaming these obstacles. There are many things for people of all ages to do on the beach. You can rent a kayak and go kayaking, rent paddle boards and even rent bikes and ride down the beaches boardwalk. If you are a little more adventurous you can go parasailing or even roller blading down the board walk. The board walk runs directly through the beach which helps you enjoy the beauty of the beach. All of these activities help support the local businesses as well as provide people a unique way to enjoy the beach and the environment around them. There are also volleyball courts and plenty of room on the sand to set up spike ball so you and your friends can have a great time.
My friends and I decided to go bike riding. There were so many places you could rent bikes, it was hard to choose which one to rent from. We rode up and down the boardwalk for about two hours. It was so much fun and a great way to enjoy our environment. We were able to observe everyone at the beach having an amazing time. If you have never been to the Santa Monica Beach, I would highly recommended going. The beach is beautiful and the many activities you can do help support the beach area. It is a place where you can be adventurous or simply relax on the beach with a picnic.
The pier and beach in that area is very well known, in fact it has its own port in the famous GTA V video game, but while recommended would you say it lives up to the reputation and hype that surrounds it?
I do believe it lives up to the reputation and hype that surrounds it. Personally, this is one of my favorite places to go for the day and enjoy the perfect weather and activities they have to offer. I often bike ride down the boardwalk to get a glimpse of everything that is going on in the area.
