As change has come in Baltimore, it is no surprise Brady Anderson is among the list of firings. After missing the 2019 season due to family reasons, the new Elias regime looked to cut ties with the long-time Oriole.

I think this is a good move by Mike Elias. As promising as the Duquette era was, it is a new time in Orioles baseball.

Moving forward means moving on from even longtime members of the organization.

Due to a lack of placement within the organization, Anderson has become dead weight in the front office. This move will help Elias craft his front office with someone who fits his scheme.

Does this mean Brady Anderson means nothing to the Orioles? Absolutely not.

Anderson helped bring winning baseball back to Baltimore in the late 90’s as a player, and there is no denying his influence in the front office in the early part of this decade. Anderson will be a face missed in the Orioles organization, but the Mike Elias regime made the correct move in letting him walk.
