Rachel McAdams and her new hair have us feeling nostalgic.

The actress, 45, stepped out for An Enemy of the People's opening night on Broadway on March 18 in New York City with a new brunette hair color, leaving behind the honey-blonde hue she was rocking earlier this month.

While the rich chocolate color instantly made us stop and stare, it also took us back to 2005 when she starred in Wedding Crashers as Claire Cleary.

In the film, which also stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, McAdams has a rich brown shade of hair that she wears in loose curls, often parted to one side. Though it's a bit shorter in the movie, her new hairstyle feels very reminiscent of how it was two decades ago.

At the photocall for her own Broadway show Mary Jane on March 7, McAdams still had her signature honey-blonde hair. At that event her hair was also longer than it is now, signaling that the star not only got a new color but a new cut, too.

When it comes to her appearance, McAdams keeps it super-real.

For a photo shoot for Bustle in 2023, she asked the outlet to only minimally retouch the photos — and she left her underarm hair on full display.

"With this shoot, I'm wearing latex underwear," she said. "But I've had two children. This is my body, and I think that's so important to reflect back out to the world."

McAdams added: "It's OK to look your best and work at it and be healthy, but that's different for everyone."
