KFC Japan puts new spin on tub of chicken

KFC Japan fans can now jump into the bath with Colonel Sanders’ 11 secret herbs and spices.

Their chance to soak up the brand’s flavour comes courtesy of the KFC bath bomb, created in collaboration with novelty retail store chain Village Vanguard. The bath salts, officially titled Chicken Smell? Bathing Power, are designed to add a fried-chicken smell to bathing. The product is moulded to resemble a KFC chicken drumstick.

It is not the first whacky bathroom excursion for Village Vanguard, which last year released bath powders with such aromas as beer, pizza and miso soup, reports Sora News 24.

This time the offer is limited – in a two-week campaign, 100 people are chosen by lucky draw each day to receive the bath salts, which arrive in a red-and-white KFC-branded box, just like a portion of fried chicken.

Everyone who enters receives a discount coupon for a Secret Combination Pack of chicken.
