Jay-Z is well-known for his love of watches, which he takes very seriously, just like his fellow celebrities Drake, DJ Khaled, John Mayer, Mark Wahlberg, etc. Through his lyrics, the singer has introduced us to a few companies, including Hublot and Richard Mille, and has used big events to launch his latest acquisition.

I have compiled Jay-Z watch collection in this blog post. Enjoy the read!

Let start with the cheapest one (in this blog post!). In 2019, when Jay-Z held his Shawn Carter Foundation Gala, he was seen wearing a rose gold Rolex Daytona with a chocolate dial. 

Market price: ~$70,000

Jay-Z was spotted at the courtside during the Hawks vs Charlotte Hornets Game in April 2022 wearing the white gold Patek Philippe World Time New York edition that was released in 2017 to commemorate the Art of Watches Grand Exhibition.

The dial is inspired from the original World Time watch with a New York Skyline pattern for the center. The watch indicates the standard hours and minutes and also boasts 24-hour and day/night indicators for the 24 time zones. This watch surely fits him as a Brooklyn native.

When attending the Game Five of the 2022 NBA Finals at Chase Center in San Francisco, California with his daughter Blue Ivy Carter, the rapper was spotted wearing the vintage yellow gold Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800 set with brilliant-cut diamonds. 

It features a smaller 37.5mm case with an horizontal embossed dark-blue dial with diamond hour markers.

During the white party held by Michael Rubin on 4 July 2022, Jay-Z was seen hanging out with J. Balvin. We can see a beautiful Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph on his wrist. 

The Nautilus with reference number 5990/1R comes in a generous rose gold version contrasting with the sunburst blue dial featuring an embossed horizontal pattern and applied hour-markers.

The baton-style hands are in rose gold with a luminescent coating. This new model combines three highly sought-after complications: a self-winding flyback chronograph, an easy-to-use Travel Time function (dual time-zone), and a date display, coupled with local time.

Attending DJ Khaled Walk of Fame Ceremony earlier in 2022, he was spotted wearing the All Black Ceramic Open Work Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar 26585CE.

A feat of technical mastery, the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked dresses the artistic openworked sapphire dial and the movement’s visible pink gold components in black ceramic. 

The market price on the secondary price for this beauty ranges from $500,000 to $700,000.

Attending Diddy’s 50^th birthday, Jay-Z was seen wearing the white gold Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 6300G. It is one of the most hyped timepiece in the world and features 20 complications – where some of the abilities are to “chime”, to tell the wearer what phase the moon is in and to keep the date, all the way until the year 2100. 

Market price: ~$2,200,000.

When Jay-Z initially wore The Blueprint in the spring of 2019, it was the most expensive RM ever manufactured, costing $2 million. That was until he wore another special sapphire Richard Mille 56-01 in green sapphire, which retailed for $3M. 

This photo was shot when the rapper initially displayed his one-of-a-kind RM56-01 Tourbillon in green sapphire. This is one of the most costly timepieces ever produced by the company.

The complete manual winding tourbillon movement is emphasized by sapphire crystal components that allow as much light as possible to reach the calibre. This is Richard Mille’s second one-of-a-kind work commissioned by the millionaire artist; the first was the RM56 Tourbillon in blue sapphire. It is only available in one piece.

Jay-Z was the first celebrity spotted wearing the blue Tiffany Patek that was released in December 2021 to commemorate the long-lasting partnership between Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co.

This model with the typical style of Nautilus combined with the iconic blue turquoise  (or should I say Tiffany?) color for the dial is probably the most hyped and coveted luxury watch on earth nowadays. 

Not only is he known as a successful rapper, but he is also an avid watch collector. Moreover, Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce are Tiffany & Co. brand ambassadors. 

Since this watch is Tiffany and Co.’s exclusive watch, it was not surprising to see him as the first celebrity with it.

For his birtyday in December 2012, Beyoncé gifted him something that most of us will never see in real life: A Hublot Big Bang worth $5 million. The watch was made of 18-karat white gold and had 1,282 diamonds. When the watch was unveiled in 2012, Hublot stated that it was one of the most valuable timepieces the company had ever created.

The 44 mm diameter watch had an 18-k white-gold case with 302 baguette diamonds. The watch dial was also 18-karat white gold and set with 179 baguette diamonds. Yes, the 18-karat white-gold bracelet was fashioned entirely of 782 baguette diamonds.

During the legendary performance following the 2023 Louis Vuitton fashion show, Jay-Z was spotted wearing a scarce @patekphilippe Chronograph 5071G crafted in 18k white gold.

This watch is characterized by a blue sunburst dial adorned with 9 brilliant-cut diamonds and one baguette-cut diamond. Additionally, the case is embellished with a total of 115 baguette-cut diamonds. With only about 20 pieces ever made, this particular timepiece adds to the billionaire artist's impressive collection of rare Patek Philippes.

Market price: ~$850,000.

In this picture, he wears a rare Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in 18k yellow gold with mother of pearl dial. The first Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar was released in 1983 and the layout of the dial includes all the traditional indications of a perpetual calendar: day, date, astronomical moon (with graduation for moon age) and month.

The rare mother-of-pearl dial is additionally set with 9 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Market price: ~$350,000.

Jay-Z was seen at Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour concert in July 2023, sporting an exceptionally rare Rolex Daytona 6263 'Tiffany&Co' made of stainless steel. 

This particular watch is one of the rarest Rolex wristwatches, sold through the prestigious American retailer Tiffany & Co. What makes this piece extraordinarily unique is the inclusion of not just the jeweler's signature but also a "Paul Newman" dial. 

Market price: ~$1,200,000.

At Beyoncé's Renaissance Tour, Jay-Z was spotted wearing a one-of-a-kind Patek Philippe Chronograph 5070G ‘Champagne’ crafted in white gold. 

This important vintage Patek joins the billionaire artist's exclusive collection. Introduced by Patek Philippe in 1998, the 5070 model was notable as the brand's first non-perpetual chronograph released in over four decades. Formerly owned by Tony Servet Kavak (@only_therarest), this extraordinary timepiece was sold at a record-breaking price of $600,000.

In March, he was seen wearing the Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 2499 in 18k yellow gold (3rd series) with integrated bracelet. 

Considered to be one of the most remarkable wristwatches ever designed by Patek Philippe, this reference has been produced in only 349 pieces, an average of nine pieces per year (35-year of production).

Market price: ~$3,000,000.

Another rare Patek Philippe watch in his collection: the Perpetual Calendar Split Seconds Chronograph 5004P in platinum. 

The combination of platinum and black arabic number dial is the most desired of the 5004 models and highly sought-after by collectors. This reference has been introduced in 1996 as the maison’s first split-second perpetual chronograph timepiece.

Market price: ~$600,000.

Jay-Z rocked up at LeBron James' 39th birthday wearing an amazing Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon 6002R watch. It's one of the fanciest watches Patek Philippe makes, with 12 cool features. The watch has beautiful hand-carved designs and a special front dial. It's a rare gem in Jay-Z's collection, adding to his already awesome set of Patek Philippe watches, including the super complex 6300G. 

Market price (Jan 2024): ~$5,500,000.

Rapper and music producer Jay Z attended the 66th Grammy Awards at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, wearing an impressive 5961R Annual Calendar Chronograph. This timepiece boasts a 40.5mm case crafted from 18K rose gold, complemented by a bezel adorned with 36 baguette-cut diamonds. The ebony black opaline dial is highlighted by 8 baguette-cut diamonds serving as hour markers.

Retail price: $160,000.
