Apple Pie à la Mode

Ingredients

CRUST
1 1/3 cups flour
1/4 cup granulated allulose or sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup oil
2 tbsp water

FILLING
4 cups peeled apple, thinly sliced
A pinch of granulated allulose or 1 tbsp honey

CRUMBLE TOPPING
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup granulated allulose or sugar
1/4 unsweetened applesauce
1/8 tsp salt

Recipe

Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Line the bottom of an 8-inch springform or removable-bottom tart pan with parchment, and set aside.

Step 1 – CRUST
In a large mixing bowl, combine all dry crust ingredients, then incorporate the oil and water to form a dough. Put the dough in the prepared pan and pat it down firmly. Bake for 12 minutes.

Step 2 – FILLING
Toss the apple and sweetener together in a bowl. Pour the mixture into the baked crust, spreading it evenly.

Step 3 – CRUMBLE
Combine all crumble topping ingredients in another bowl. Evenly sprinkle it over the apple filling.

Step 4 – BAKE
Bake the pie for 50-60 minutes or until the apples are soft. Let cool 20 minutes, then remove the springform.
