Played in all 12 games and recorded 14 tackles (five solo) ... Made his first career start at San Jose State on Nov. 18 ... Recorded the first solo tackle of his career against Idaho State on Sept. 2... Logged 17 defensive snaps in the conference opener against Boise State on Sept. 22 ... Recorded a then career-high two tackles (one solo) ... Both tackles came in the fourth quarter, including stopping a rush for no gain ... Logged 34 snaps off the bench at Air Force on Sept. 30 ... Entered the game with four career tackles, he more than doubled that number with a career-high six tackles (one solo) ... Played on only special teams at Hawai’i ... Recorded one solo tackle on a punt return in the first quarter ... Only played on special teams against Nevada (Oct. 21), Utah State (Nov. 4), and at Colorado State (Nov. 11) ... Played in 12 of the team’s 14 games on special teams, including each of the final 12 contests ... Made one tackle and returned a squib kick nine yards … Was on the travel squad for each of the first two games but did not play … Made his debut against Utah on Sept. 18 … Logged an assisted tackle on special teams vs. New Mexico on Oct. 9 … Returned a pooch kickoff nine yards against Utah State in the MW Championship game on Dec. 4
HIGH SCHOOL
Was a two-year letter winner at Liberty High School in Bakersfield, Calif. … Helped the Patriots to a pair of league championships and perfect 5-0 conference records each year (2018-19) … LHS was a combined 22-4 (.846) over his two seasons, reaching the section finals in 2018 with a 12-2 record and making the section semifinals in 2019 with a 10-2 mark … Was all-league, all-area and the team’s defensive MVP, while also captaining the Patriots … According to MaxPreps, totaled 53 tackles as a junior in 2019 with three sacks, a forced fumble, fumble recovery and two pass breakups … Had his senior season in 2020 wiped out because of the COVID-19 pandemic … A scholar-athlete and member of the honor roll at LHS … Also was a second baseman at Liberty HS, being named the team’s MVP … A three-star recruit by 247sports and ESPN … Received a scout grade of 80 by 247sports and 71 by ESPN.
