Chunghwa telecoms CHT 8000 Android phone

In Taiwan, there are two major network competitors. FarEastTone and Chunghwa Telecoms. In Oct, FarEastTone announced Commtiva Z1 Android phone based on CupCake 1.5.

Today, rival Chuanghwa telecoms also announced their own brand Android phone the CHT 8000. This CHT 8000 is based on Cupcake Android 1.5 OS. It has some similarities to the HTC Magic including the interface. The minor differences are the shorter battery life and lesser memory on board.

CHT 8000 will go on sale in mid-December and will retail at NT$13,900 (USD 431) with contract.
