The O’s continue to search for their first win of the Grapefruit League season, and while we all know that these results mean nothing, it sure would be nice to get off the schneid, wouldn’t it? On the bright side, it’s finally starting to feel like spring in Baltimore, and with temperatures in the 70’s and Manny Machado doing awesome things on our television screens again, there’s no mistaking that it’s almost baseball season.

The Case for Brady Anderson Being Clean of Steroids

Joe Vasile, an amateur bodybuilder who knows a thing or two more about anabolic steroids than Joe Sports Fan, makes a convincing case over at Behind the Box Score that Brady Anderson was never on “the juice,” as is widely assumed based on one spike in power over his career. However, Matt thinks they could very well challenge the team strike out record set…last year.

Bird’s Eye View Episode 154 – Street Walkers

Want to dive a bit deeper into what an Orioles lineup with Pedro Alvarez could produce? Over at Baltimore Sports and Life, Brandon Warne breaks out the always conversation-worthy ZiPS and Steamer projections for the heart of the Birds order with Alvarez, Chris Davis, and Mark Trumbo penciled in. We’re really going to need a nickname for all three of them striking out in one inning – Bert Rode of Section 336 has been going with “Three’s Kompany.” I like it, but let’s hear some others.

Yovani Gallardo to Make Spring Debut Wednesday

The “savior” of the Orioles rotation finally takes the hill for the team today. Let’s all get ready to overreact!
