Memorising Tips for Tables 2 to 20

  • Table of 2 is a sequence of all the consecutive even numbers
  • Table of 4 will have only even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) at its unit place
  • Table of 5 will have either 0 or 5, at its unit place
  • In case of table of 6, the multiplication of 6 with an even number will result in a whole number of the same digit at the unit place (6 x 2 = 12, 6 x 4 = 24, 6 x 6 = 36, 6 x 8 = 48 and so on)
  • Table 9 will have digits at the unit place in decreasing order of whole numbers (9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90)
  • Table of 10 is easy to memorise. Skip count 10 for each consecutive multiple of 10.
