Some Things Are Forever

Hello everyone! This is my blog that is mainly devoted to my own creations from various fandoms, though I may occasionally reblog if I really like something. My fandoms are Doctor Who, Merlin, Harry Potter, Sherlock, Avengers, and Star Trek, though I will mostly post for the first two.
I'll warn you in advance that I can become quite defensive about my ships. Currently I ship Merlin/Morgana, Merthur as a BrOTP, Arwen, Doctor/Rose, Amy/Rory, Sherlock/Irene, Sherlock/Molly, and Johnlock as a BrOTP. A lot of my posts will have to do with these.

~not meant to be taken seriously~

It’s been a year since Twilight’s Breaking Dawn pt. 2 came out, so I thought it might be good time to revisit why the horrifying demon-child spawn of Edward and Bella is the Antichrist.

To start with, whether you’re Christian or not, you can’t deny that there are massive opposites between Renesmee and Jesus. As the Bible story goes, he was born to a virgin. Renesmee, however, was born to a human and a vampire — basically, a demon. And the similarities only get darker from there…

The Bible’s descriptions of the Antichrist detail someone charismatic who rises up in a time of turmoil, who everyone loves. Without cause, everyone adores Renesmee, almost to a point of worship. Even Aro, previously prepared to destroy her, chooses to allow her to live after he meets her.

Jacob Black, a werewolf, also imprints on her. This causes an entire pack of werewolves to fall under her spell. Did the infant Renesmee use some sort of magic to cause this? Was it part of her plan all along?

Also, Renesmee has the ability to put thoughts in your head. Literally, by touching you, she can project her own thoughts into your mind. If she could  do this without you realizing it, which Stephanie Meyer has not confirmed or denied, she could theoretically sway people to her cause with her touch. If she was the Antichrist, she could create legions to defend her and kill those she deems unworthy of life.

The greatest reason why Renesmee is probably the Antichrist is the historical myths of other children of humans and incubuses (incubi?). Now, the children of humans and vampires specifically are called Dhamphirs, and they often become vampire hunters. In other words, if Renesmee was a Dhamphir, it would make sense that she and Jacob Black were “soulmates;” they could hunt evil vampires together. However…

Stephanie Meyer specifically referred to the incubus myth. An incubus is a demon that impregnates a woman. The spawn is a demonic child. To further this point, I would like to point to a very well-known legend: the legend of Merlin. Yes, Merlin, the benevolent mage who may or may not have been an idiot. (What idiot thinks a fifteen-year-old would be interested in an ancient sorcerer?!)

In most legends, he was the son of a nun whose mother was impregnated by an incubus. The demon had begotten him as the Antichrist. However, his mother had a priest bathe him in holy water as soon as he was born, baptizing him and washing away the devil’s influence. (He does get to keep his super-awesome powers, though.)

Renesmee was similar: her mother was impregnated by a vampire — referred to, however, as an incubus — and, as I wish to convey, was intended to be the Antichrist. She was not baptized at birth, and thus the devil’s influence remains. Soon after her birth, a wolf-pack fails to kill her because, conveniently, one of them had “imprinted” on her, meaning that he was forever bound to worship the ground Renesmee walked on. Was this natural, or Renesmee using her demonic powers? The latter, I offer…

And what of her high body temperature? How, though she was born to a vampire (ice cold) and a human (normal temperature), she is warmer than most? Remnants of her wicked soul leaving the fires of hell? That is for the reader to decide.

It is for all of these reasons that I strongly believe that Renesmee Cullen is the Antichrist.
